My work site is littered with people who smoke non stop. On Euro-nights, these kids just smoke and smoke all night. I come home smelling like I been in a chimney all day. Ashtrays have mountains of cigarette butts, just piled high on those trays. I would love to see these kids react to the no smoking next time they come in.
I can't fathomed why anyone would wanna suck in dangerous amounts of smoke in to their lungs. The thought of it gives me the willies. It a good time to quit smoking folks. Prices of cigarettes are rising, more states are baning smoking from public places but you keep throwing your money away.
One thing I noticed in this smoking ban is that if a business can prove that it lost 15% in sales, then it can get a waiver to allow smoking again. Oh I know most businesses around here will be keeping a close eye on their revenue in the coming months. My advice to those people, DEAL WITH IT! It our one chance to breath easier in a restaurant, bar or any other public domain. Don't go fucking it up now! Find another way to get people back. Also do not give me bullshit about your right to smoke. You lost that right when you began smoking. Go kill your lungs but don't kill mine. Your way of living should not affect my way of living in a public building. Take it outside or quit. Trust me, your best bet is quitting. Plus you'll save a lot more money in the long run.
As I think about it, this town mostly consist of condos, hotels, motels, beaches, restaurants and bars. So where the hell will anyone go? Answer.... They will go out of state!! If that happens, I would love it. These tourist piss me off. Millions of places they can go and they come here because we have a beach. Anyways I can only think of one bar that can benefit from this since half of it is outdoors. So people will either flock their or go out of state. Then all business will prove that it lost 15% and this town go back to be allowing smoking indoors. The rest of the state of Maryland complains and they get waivers too. Ugh I can see that happening.
Thank you for reading this rant of mine. You either love or hate it. Just how I feel. :)
